Trolltunga Norway

Trolltunga hangs 700 meters over lake Ringdalsvatnet and is 1100 meters above sea level.

The name translated to English is The Troll's tongue.

People from all over the world travel to experience Trolltunga, one of Norway’s most spectacular fjord landscapes at 1100 meters above sea level and hanging 700 meters over Rindalsvatnet.

To get to Trolltunga entails a fairly long and strenuous hike, so come well prepared and ready to start early. The reward is a life time experience, breathtaking view.

Trolltunga is located in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland county, about 10 kilometres east of the Tyssedal village and the Sørfjorden arm of the Hardanger Fjord.

Sightseeing boats depart for Lysefjorden and Preiketolen Saturday and Sunday all through the year, and every day from May through September, with extra sailings in July and August.

The Trolltunga-Preikestolen express coach offer a daily transfer service between Hardangerfjorden and Lysefjorden along the charming landscape of the Ryfylke Discovery Route.
